HOW IS IT STUDIED?

Pterostilbene has been studied for its activation of the AMPK pathway.* A 2015 study examined how AMPK activation relates to aging [1]. Research has also explored pterostilbene's metabolic activity, including how it may interact with other compounds.* [2] Notably, in laboratory and animal research, pterostilbene was shown to downregulate the BCR/ABL pathway — a pathway also targeted by dasatinib — and in one study it remained active on cells that had become resistant to a tyrosine kinase inhibitor.* [3], [4] This researched activity on a dasatinib-relevant pathway is why pterostilbene is part of NEUROmergence®, our phytochemical longevity formula.*
